Finding Beauty in the Unexpected
My time in Wyoming wasn't always easy, and a lot of my childhood there was shaped by difficult experiences. But it was also where I really began to find myself through art. Art became an outlet for me, something I could turn to when life felt overwhelming. It gave me a way to express myself and find little moments of happiness when I needed them most.
I found my love of color through sunsets. There's something about watching the sky change colors at the end of the day that can make even the hardest moments feel a little more beautiful. It taught me that beauty can exist alongside difficult things, and that sometimes, you just have to look for it.
Wyoming holds some dark memories for me, but it also shaped the person I am today. When I paint these landscapes, I get to see them through my own eyes and my own colors. Much like a sunset, I believe there is beauty to be found in even the most unexpected places.
This painting is a work in progress and I can’t wait to share the finished piece with you!
